SUE BADRAK IS BOTH A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR AND A LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST, GIVING HER A UNIQUE BLEND OF INDIVIDUAL AS WELL AS SYSTEMS THERAPY APPROACHES.
Sue specializes in working with adolescents, adults, women, couples and families. Her vast experience includes work with sexual assault, domestic violence, school problems, transitional issues, depression, anxiety, grief, marriage and divorce.
Sue’s education includes a BA in Education from Eastern Michigan University and a MA in Psychology from University of Houston, Clear Lake. Sue taught Elementary Education and Special Education for 6 years. She went on to work at the Fort Bend Women’s Center for 8 years. She was in charge of the Adolescent Program and the Rape Crisis Program, as well as counseling victims of Domestic Violence.
She has been in private practice since 1991. Sue was a contract therapist for Child Protective Services. Sue is certified in Anger Management and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. She completed extensive courses in Parent Coordination and Marriage Enhancement. Sue also holds a License in Supervision in both Professional Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy.

Sue’s approach to therapy is an eclectic blend of psychodynamics and cognitive behavioral theories. She practices solution-focused therapy with systems oriented and insight oriented techniques. Sue believes that therapy is a partnership between the client and the therapist and that both gain from the relationship. She uses education, wisdom, humor and intuition in her practice. She is very respectful of her client’s individualism and experience and is genuine with her regard and warmth.
